This site is dedicated to the memory of Frances Rawlings.
Frances passed away on Friday 12th December at the age of 62. John was with her when she sadly left us. The British Lung Foundation offered a lot of support and Frances felt it appropriate to request donations to help others. As you will no doubt be aware, Frances always maintained a positive outlook on life and did her best to stay upbeat even when her illness caused her discomfort. The support, thoughts and prayers offered by friends and family helped Frances through enormously. She will be missed terribly.

As promised the funds for your couch. I miss you my dearest and most loyal friend - who am I going to talk my PhD studies over with. You were always the only person I ever showed my work to. Who is going to tell me off when I am getting stroppy, where is my conscience and voice of reason? Till we meet again, keep the Champagne cool.

Thoughts
Dear Fran, our friendship lasted over 30 years through our nursing days and the years that followed - I will miss your strength and warmth, your smiles and our chats although not very often we always continued the conversation as if we had spoken yesterday. I am very fortunate to have been your friend.
